First Sabbath Offering for the GC Educational Center
“How can our brethren and sisters continue to live close to large numbers of people who have never been warned, without devising methods of setting to work every agency through whom the Lord can work to the glory of His name?
“Our leaders who have had long experience will understand the importance of these matters, and can do much to increase the working forces. They can plan to reach many in the highways and in the hedges. As they put forth calm, steady, devoted effort to educate the church members to engage in personal work for souls wherever there are favorable openings, success will mark their labors.”—Evangelism, p. 114.
“By the word coming from God, we are instructed to educate, educate, educate, young men and young women to understand the living oracles of God. This knowledge will be of the greatest possible value to them as they labor for God. God requires that minds shall not be dwarfed by a connection with the church, but strengthened, elevated, enriched, ennobled, and made fit for the most sacred work ever committed to mortals.”—The Review and Herald, March 22, 1898. With these goals in mind, the General Conference Educational Center needs a consistent financial support to cover the entire cost to complete the building.
The GC Education Center will provide:
• Continuing education for GC officers, gospel workers, and missionaries on doctrinal, administrative, and spiritual areas.
• Online education. While live seminars are being conducted, all the important sessions will be recorded and made available online for anyone unable to attend in person. That includes you!
• A conference center. This new facility has been designed to hold regional conferences—and even General Conference sessions.
• A house of worship to be a lighthouse to the community.
Be one of those that side with the Lord in rebuilding His kingdom, be one who can hear the voice of the sincere and honest soul crying: “Come down to me and help….”
