This spring, our brethren in Madrid were blessed with the inauguration of a new church. Not only has it been a blessing for the Madrid congregation, but the brethren have also used the church to bless their community through free health seminars and cooking classes. After the inauguration, Brother Abel Morales visited the church in order to deliver health lectures during a health seminar, which was paired with a cooking classes with delicious sample dishes for the attendees.
Invitations and details about the cooking classes were distributed well in advance, and the effort was worth it. Over forty individuals, young and elderly, attended the meetings. Many signed up for future health seminars and cooking classes that will be taking place in Madrid.
May the news of the Madrid church's efforts inspire our brethren in other parts of the world to initiate similar projects using the health message as a means to introduce God's love and plan for His children.
The Spirit of Prophecy says: "How shall we reveal Christ? I know of no better way ... than to take hold of the medical missionary work in connection with the ministry...." (Medical Ministry, p. 319).

Earnest, thorough reformatory work is to be done. True Bible religion is an outflowing of the love of God for fallen man. God's people are to advance in straightforward lines to impress the hearts of those who are seeking for truth, who desire to act their part aright in this intensely earnest age. We are to present the principles of health reform before the people, doing all in our power to lead men and women to see the necessity of these principles, and to practice them. " (Testimonies, vol 6, p. 379)
