August 30, 2016

 To All Units of the Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement General Conference:

Christian greetings with Colossians 3:16.

We hope that this letter finds you enjoying the rich blessings of the Lord. The purpose of this circular is to promote and solicit the support of all units of the General Conference in behalf of the project “The Musician and His/Her Life With God,” to be held on Sabbath, October 1, 2016, in the SDARM churches around the world.

Considering that October 1st is the International Day of Music, the Music Committee of the General Conference has prepared a special program for that day, in order to promote and encourage the spiritual growth of SDARM musicians. The program consists of the following:

- A special theme for Divine Worship

- A special afternoon study bearing the title, “The Musician and His/Her Life With God”. The study is to be held in all local churches under the direction of leaders chosen by their respective Fields and Unions.

The afternoon program should be a special opportunity for fellowship, with music and interaction among the brethren. The meeting is designed not only for musicians, but for the entire SDARM community, including visitors, and interested friends.

During the months of August and September 2016, the following materials will be made available by the GC Music Committee, and can be requested at the following e-mail: music@sdarm.org

- Poster announcing the event;

- Text and PowerPoint versions of the Divine Worship sermon;

- Study Guide for the afternoon meeting, with the text in magazine format and in PowerPoint. We recommend that the units print these magazines and distribute them among the brethren. At the meeting, we should avoid reading the text. The leader should study the topic in advance and present it in a dynamic and interesting manner.

- Guide of procedures for leaders;

- Brief video clips on the topic.

It is our sincere desire that the “The Musician and His/Her Life With God” project will be a blessing for SDARM musicians and for our church as a whole.

In Christ,

Pr. Eli Tenorio                                                          Marcos Pedrazas
