The 48th National Conference in Mexico was held from April 17-21, 2019. This year's theme was "Christ in the Family".

Michoacan, Mexico—The 48th National Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement - Mexican Union, took place this year. It was held at Ex-Hacienda Tzintzimeo, located about 30 kilometers from Morelia, Michoacan. The conference began on April 17 and ended on April 21. 

 

We the opportunity of having Brother Rolly Dumaguit, GC Vice President, Brother Eli Tenorio, GC Secretary, and Brother Segundo Daniel Guzman, GC Regional Secretary, with us to speak at the event. The attendance was well over 500 people, including local brethren and visitors, and visiting brethren from the USA, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Guatemala, and Brazil.

 

The main theme was: "Christ in the Family". The meetings and workshops were on topics under the main theme. Prayer sessions were held every morning, and during the day there were workshops for the young people, covering the relationship between children and parents, as well as guidance on health and nutrition. Married couples attended marriage seminars, while the children spent time in various activities involving, crafts, recreation, and learning the Bible.

 

On Thursday, Voces de Sion (Voices of Zion), a youth group from Central America, presented their music album: Dios con Nosotros (God with Us). On Friday, there was a graduation ceremony for the 2018-2019 graduating class of the J.N. Andrews Biblical Institute. This was the 8th graduating class.

 

On Sabbath, we enjoyed studying the wonderful topic: Victorious Families, God's Will. And on Sunday, the new Mexican Union Committee for 2019-2022 was officially presented.

 

We thank God for such a wonderful conference that we believe was and continues to be a great blessing and encouragement to the faith of our brethren and dear visitors. We can say with certainty that we felt the presence of the Holy Spirit in each of the meetings, workshops, prayer sessions, and worship programs.
