From December 27, 2020, to January 2, 2021, the brethren in Kenya held a youth convention around Lake Victoria at Sindo. The speakers presented Christ as the focus of our lives—in the choice of trade and profession, in health, in stewardship, in prophecy, in choice of a life partner, in education, etc. The youth choir presented several songs.
On Friday, January 1, 2021, the brethren began the New Year with three young people making a covenant with Jesus through baptism in the waters of Lake Victoria. Praise God!
The church members in Sindo have been worshiping in a rented school. Recently, one sister in that church donated a parcel of land of approximately 0.5 of an acre to the church. They now worship there under the scorching sun of the lake region. May God open a way that they may soon have a house of prayer.
The young people spent an afternoon on a nature walk to see Lake Victoria. For some, this was their first time to see the lake, the fishermen, and their boats. To most, it was their first time able to touch the Lake Victoria waters. They were so happy that some decided to swim.
