Lobito, Angola—The brethren in Lobito, in the state of Benguela, hosted an Evangelism and Canvassing Seminar from May 17-21. Attendees included church leadership and young people interested in learning more about the distribution of literature and the Gospel.
Brother Mario Linares, GC Canvassing Department Director, was the guest speaker. During the weekend, there was a conference with the participation of several musical groups.
On the last day, almost one-hundred individuals, mostly young people, participated in a Waldensian Canvassing outreach in the area. They visited families close to the church and offered health magazines, tracts, prayer, and Bible study. As a result, several contacts were established, and the local worker has already begun followup.
May God bless the seeds planted and distributed during the event. May it find those looking to come closer to Him.
"Church members, awake to the importance of the circulation of our literature and devote more time to this work. Place in the homes of the people papers, tracts, and books that will preach the gospel in its several lines. There is no time to be lost. Let many give themselves willingly and unselfishly to the canvassing work, and thus help to sound a warning that is greatly needed. When the church takes up her appointed work, she will go forth “fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners.” Song of Solomon 6:10." CH 464.2
