We thank God for His care in Kenya during the pandemic. As the country is slowly but steadily reopening, we continue to pray for the work as we follow government rules and regulations to keep working.
In July 2020, we held a Bible seminar for three days at our church headquarters in Nakuru with a group of sincere souls longing for the message of the everlasting gospel. We expect more than ten participants to return for another seminar from October 4th to 11th. We ask the brethren to pray for these meetings that they may bear fruit.
In September, the work continued in Maasai land (Narok County). On September 13th we began a series of studies concerning our fundamental beliefs after an interested soul there found us through Facebook. We are studying our beliefs and hope to have a baptism there soon. Through this soul, we were put in touch with others within the community who are also searching for the present truth. During my time there, we did door to door visits, visited community schools, and visited with the locals as they worked in the fields.
The Maasai community are pastoralists. This is the first time the message of revival and reformation is reaching their tribe. We really need Bibles in the Maasai language as most of the individuals here only read in Maasai and Kiswahili and very few possess the Bible. A Maasai Bible costs $10.
Our members in our churches have been worshiping with their families during the pandemic, and the Bible workers have kept in touch and helped them participate in the recent International Week of Prayer.
