Linares, Chile—From June 23-29, the church in Linares hosted a week-long Music School that left a lasting impression on both participants and the community. The event featured the Brazilian Reformation Philharmonic Band, a talented ensemble of nearly 40 musicians who brought their expertise and passion to the city.
The week was packed with activities, including morning music classes covering theory and practice. These sessions provided invaluable learning experiences for the 30+ students who participated under the guidance of eight experienced teachers. The afternoons were reserved for rehearsals, as the students prepared for a special performance during the upcoming Sabbath School.
Midweek, the event extended its reach beyond the classroom with a creative invitation campaign at the city's shopping mall. Band members played live music, while other participants handed out invitations for the upcoming concert. The lively atmosphere generated excitement and anticipation among the public.
The culmination of the week’s efforts was evident on Sabbath, when around 300 people gathered for the Sabbath School performance. Later that afternoon, the Philharmonic Band concert drew an even larger attendance, with over 360 people attending. The event was a blessing, showcasing the dedication of the musicians, teachers, and students, and bringing the community together in a shared appreciation of music.
The Music School event in Linares not only provided valuable education and experience for aspiring musicians but also highlighted the unifying power of music in the community. May God bless the musicians in their efforts to use their talents for His honor and glory.
