The Family Circle

The Family Circle
The brethren of the General Conference

Far from silly and insipid, the real serpent is unseen, insinuating and insidious. His chief weapons are lies, deceit, temptation and discouragement, and destruction of families. He knows that if the family is smashed, then the society is shattered.

For this reason the subjects for this Week of Prayer are dedicated to The Family Circle. It is suggested that all family members should gather at the family altar and rededicate themselves before the Lord. Provision should be made for helping those who are isolated, sick, and aged so that they will have the same blessings if someone visits them to read these materials together with them.

It is suggested that Sabbath, December 11, be the day of fasting for those who are able to fast and take the opportunity to dedicate the mealtime to prayers and supplications.

Sunday, December 12, is the last day of the Week of Prayer and it will be a special day to thank the Lord for all the blessings we have received during the year. A special offering that is collected on this day will be used for the needy missions in different parts of the world. Please give generously, for the Lord blesses the cheerful giver.

Let us make needed preparation by humbling our souls individually and as a family, that all wrongs be righted. May the Lord richly bless His people during this Week of Prayer.
