This series of articles are meant to challenge you dear youth, to look away from the secular, the regular, and the traditional you may have grown up with and, as you read the articles in this magazine, meditate on what Jesus did for you while on earth, especially in the days leading to His crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension. I hope that your hearts will be filled with hope as you look forward to the coming of the King in glory.

The Origin of Easter

God has ordained the children of Israel to celebrate their deliverance from Egypt by their participation in the feast of the passover. It was supposed to raise questions in the minds of the young so the parents would not neglect sharing the story of their salvation from the angel of death. How did this turn easter? Behold the Lamb of God!

The expression used by John the Baptist as he saw Jesus descend into the Jordan River has been sounding in churches and in believers’ homes for ages.
