It helps to have words

Of encouragement so pure,

It helps to praise Him

And His holy name,

It helps to know that

It helps to be dependent

Upon Him and the way He

Comes so frequently sublime. . .

It helps to know that others

Have passed the same way too,

It helps when you make Jesus

First, last, and best in

everything you do. . .

It helps to hold the hand of Him

When all other hands let go,

To fight against the greatest foe.
