During the first week of November 1-3, the EcuadorianUnion hosted its first National Youth Camp Meeting for the youth from within and without the church.

During the first week of November 1-3, the Ecuadorian Union hosted its first National Youth Camp Meeting to encourage the youth of the church and to serve as an outreach to bring other young people, too. The camp meeting was an historical event in that it was the first of its kind since the Reform message entered Ecuador in 1945.

The theme of the conference held by Pastor and Nutritionist Abel Morales was Epigenetics, more specifically how our way of life, nutrition, the environment, and even our emotions can affect—and even override—our genetic traits.

Even today, people still come to our churches, and we have the opportunity to show them true Christianity and true hospitality.

“Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.” Romans 12:13

 

We had just arrived in Canada in 2005, and for the first time I was visiting our church in Puslinch, ON. I stepped up to the podium to begin the Divine Service, and looked to the people attending church. They were all new to me.

Humanitarian projects include: weekly lunches for those in need, medical aid, volunteering at local health institutions, and promotion of peace in a country where military action and fear loom so near.

 

UKRAINE—In a recently war-torn country that still feels the effects of a military presence, our church members have gathered together to form the "Angel's Hand" Charitable Foundation. The charity is composed of a community of people who have a desire to help others. Their goal is to help all those in need and who, for whatever reason, may be in trouble.
