Roanoke, USA—On Sabbath, September 29, 2018, a special Sabbath meetings was held in Roanoke, Virginia, USA. The Council meetings would finish the following day, and this was the last Sabbath with all the Council members present. The special Sabbath was held in a rented church near the GC headquarters.

Over two-hundred brethren were present for the Sabbath meetings. The Sabbath was even more special due to the baptism of two souls who made the decision to dedicate their lives to our Savior and join our church family. May we keep them in our prayers.

Updates from Tanzania where our brethren are getting ready to build a church.

Tukuyu, Mbeya, Tanzania—Tanzania is a large and populous country in East Africa with 62% of its population identifying as Christian. We have 216 members in Tanzania, and as our membership grows, they are in need of a new church building.

The brethren have purchased a property and begun building the church foundation. For now, they gather under the trees or on the church foundation to pray and worship. With $2,000 we can help make their wish for a church become a reality!

Will you help?

Last month, another church reopened in Rwanda after all our churches were ordered closed.

RUBAVU, RWANDA—By the grace of God, this summer another church in Rwanda has reopened after being ordered closed by the Rwandan government. This time, it was the church in Rubavu that was able to once more opens its doors and receive worshippers.

Brethren came from other parts of Rwanda where churches have not yet been reopened gathered to worship together with the Rubavu brethren. The church was full, so much so that the meetings were held outside in the open air.
